The annual A-State Leadership in Banking Series is returning for the 2026-27 year.
The series is hosted through a partnership between the Delta Center for Economic Development, Neil Griffin College of Business, and Jonesboro Unlimited. It brings banking professionals together for six monthly sessions focused on current topics, trends, and skills relevant to the banking industry.
Each session includes a presentation, lunch, best practices, and group discussion led by A-State faculty and industry professionals. Sessions will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in room 201 of the Delta Center for Economic Development, beginning Wednesday, Sept. 9. Registration is open through Friday, Aug. 14. Facilities Management is beginning a major tree trimming and lifting project today, June 15, across the core of campus. The areas affected are north and east of Dean B. Ellis Library, south and east of NYITCOM, and south and east of the Administration Building.
Please use caution when traveling through these areas. The approximate completion date is Thursday, June 25. Thank you for your patience as crews complete this work.

Today, we honor Flag Day and the symbol of unity and resilience it represents.
As America celebrates her 250th birthday, Jonesboro’s annual Freedom Fest will take place Saturday, July 4, on the Arkansas State University campus, as recently announced by Jonesboro Media Group and KAIT.
This free community celebration will include a car show near First National Bank Arena at 4 p.m., the Delta Symphony Orchestra’s Independence Day Concert at 7 p.m. in the Fowler Center, and one of the largest fireworks displays in the event’s history around 9:30 p.m.
