A team of A-State students known as Red Wolf Steel recently earned fourth place in the Cast in Steel competition, competing against teams from 64 schools across the country.
The group is part of A-State’s Society of Manufacturing Engineers team and includes Caden Grimmett, Michael "Ethan" Altenbaumer, Andrew “Bo” Grace, Sam Morris, and Channing Woodson.
Red Wolf Steel will be featured in Episode 5 of Cast in Steel Season 1, where the students design, cast and test George Washington-inspired swords using modern metal-casting techniques.

We were pleased to welcome Senator Tom Cotton to campus for a tour of Arkansas State's new College of Veterinary Medicine!

A new chapter is beginning at Arkansas State University! 🐺
The College of Veterinary Medicine will welcome its inaugural class for orientation on August 6, with classes beginning August 12.
Before the semester starts, A-State will celebrate the grand opening of the college’s new 56,000-square-foot facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. on August 11.

A-State student Christopher Hellenthal recently went viral after jumping into action while dressed as Spider-Man to help a man using a wheelchair safely cross a busy street in Jonesboro.🕷️
