πŸ’™πŸ’› Our 5th Grade GT students have been diving into Financial Literacy this month and learning all about the Stock Market! Today, they had a special guest speaker from ASU, Dr. Phillip Tew, join us to talk about stocks and share his knowledge with our students.

πŸ“ˆπŸ’°Now it’s time to put what they’ve learned into action! Our students will begin playing the Stock Market Game alongside students from across the state of Arkansas. They’ll research, make investment decisions, and see how their portfolios perform throughout the competition.

Our fifth-grade students explored figurative language through Abraham Lincoln’s historic speech at Lincoln Hall. They discovered how word choice and figurative language can make a message more powerful and meaningful.

πŸ’™ Our 6th grade students in Ms. Holmes and Ms. Walling’s Social Studies classes have been learning about the origins of writing in ancient Mesopotamia, specifically cuneiform and how scribes used clay tablets long before the invention of paper!

πŸ’› Today, our students got to step into the role of ancient scribes and create their own clay tablets using cuneiform!
