Nettleton High School gifted and talented students attended the Foundation of Arts’ production of Come From Away at The Forum Theater in Jonesboro on Sept. 10. Come From Away is a 2013 musical based on the events in the Newfoundland town of Gander during the week following the September 11 attacks, when 38 planes, carrying approximately 7,000 passengers, were ordered to land unexpectedly at Gander International Airport. The characters in the musical are based on actual Gander residents and the stranded travelers they housed and fed. The powerful true story was selected by the FOA in observance of the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

📢 REMINDER, RAIDER FAMILIES!

🎓 Does Your SENIOR Have Their Community Service Hours?

An Arkansas graduate shall complete a minimum of 75 clock hours of documented community service during grades 9–12. This requirement begins with the Class of 2027.
A.C.A. § 6-16-1901

Here’s what students need to know:

✅ Students MUST log their community service hours using the Google Form.

📧 When the school becomes aware of community service opportunities, we promptly communicate those opportunities directly to students’ inboxes.

Seniors were recently provided an update on their cumulative hours logged. Be sure to check your hours and make sure you are on track!

⚡ Dismissal Update – Junior High & High School Only ⚡

Due to the ongoing power outage, students at the Junior High and High School campuses are being dismissed early.

🚨 This applies ONLY to Junior High and High School students. All other NPS campuses will continue with regular dismissal.

NPS is aware of the power outage affecting our Junior High and High School campuses. Our team is in direct contact with the utility company to get power restored as quickly as possible.

As of right now, school will continue as scheduled. 🏫
