Welcome Preston.

Howdy! My name is Preston Dye. I am thrilled to be continuing my journey at Arkansas State as a first-year student in the School Psychology program. I look forward to learning about the various assessment instruments and utilizing them to help kids reach their full potential! What attracted me most to the field was its blend of scientific psychology and academic application. When I am not working on my studies, I enjoy spending my free time listening to music, watching movies, or playing games!

📣New Faculty Shout Out📣
Welcome, Dr. Annie Boyles!

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Annie Boyles to the Department of Psychology & Counseling at A-State!

Dr. Boyles holds a Ph.D. in Human Development & Family Sciences from Texas Tech University, an M.S. in Family Studies from Texas Woman’s University, and a B.A. in Sociology from Texas Tech University.

Her teaching interests include human sexuality and family dynamics, and her research explores sexual violence and intimate relationships during adolescence and emerging adulthood.

This year, Dr. Boyles will be teaching Introduction to Psychology and Abnormal Psychology. She also loves exploring critical theories and bringing media and pop culture into her courses to help students connect psychological concepts to the world around them.

Originally from Arlington, Texas, Dr. Boyles is looking forward to getting to know her students, becoming part of the A-State community, and exploring Jonesboro!

We are excited to welcome our Teacher Residents to campus as they begin training for their year-long residency experience. Over the next year, these future educators will work side-by-side with highly effective mentor teachers while receiving ongoing support and guidance from dedicated university supervisors.

The residency model provides our candidates with authentic, hands-on classroom experiences that help bridge theory and practice, preparing them to make an immediate impact on student learning from day one.
