Our Networking and Sales Showcase Event was amazing today! Thanks to Bearded Bouquet,Federated Insurance, Griffin Graduate Programs, and Combined Insurance for sponsoring! A huge thanks to Embassy Suites by Hilton Jonesboro Red Wolf Convention Center for being so helpful. Thank you to the community of Jonesboro for your support of our students. A last thank you to the students of Professional Selling for raising over $4,000 for the NEA Family Crisis Center.

Mrs. Balado's Professional Selling class partnered with Combined Insurance, a Chubb Company and took part in a weeklong Water Sales Project. The students practiced their sales skills they have obtained in the classroom with local businesses. The kicker is they really weren't selling water, they were obtaining donations to raise funds for the residents of Monette Manor to help with Tornado relief. If the business would like to receive the water they may but the cost comes out of their team balance. The students got to hone their sales skills in a real-world setting, all while helping others.

The class ended up raising $6,220.05 from their Selling water project and learned a lot of hands-on experience. Monette Manor, the assisted living facility that the money was donated to came to Balado's class for an awards ceremony April 4 at 10:30am. The top 3 student teams received a gift card (donated by Chubb) and got to have a business dinner with the Chubb executives.

We are pleased to announce our next club meeting! Next Wednesday, April 20th at 6 pm, we will be hosting Chris Chalmers. Chris is an experienced territory sales manager at Coloplast. He is teaching us about his experience in medical sales and his journey too! We can't wait to see you all next Wednesday!
