Some of the Junior and Senior Special Ed majors were given the opportunity to speak to seniors from various high school “Teacher Cadet” members about the SpEd program here at ASU! We were able to tell about the program, how rewarding it is, and answer the questions that the students had. It was such a fun day! Howl said “NO” to being a SpEd teacher, but Scarlett loved what we had to say and said she wants to join the program, too! ❤️

Today, two members of the SCEC, Regan and Lauren, went to a local Jonesboro school to create an Autism Awareness board to promote April being Autism Awareness month. Throughout the month, a few different things will be happening at the school, VPA, to raise awareness for the month! Be sure to watch for photos of what is going to take place! Oh, and they ran into a senior in the Special Education program!
A-STATE Student Council for Exceptional Children is a registered student organization on campus that promotes awareness for all disabilities and families in North East Arkansas.
