💙 April is Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month… but for me, this is more than awareness, this is my PURPOSE. 💙

Serving families, advocating for children, and supporting communities is not just something I talk about, it is something I live every single day. I apply pressure. I show up. I do the work.

With over 16 years of experience, I have worked in classrooms across Missouri, Tennessee, and Arkansas, and I have seen what works and what does not. I do not just bring knowledge, I bring application and results.

I have had one educator tell me this:
“In my 27 years of teaching, you are the first thing that has worked.”

And while that humbles me, I will be the first to say I am not perfect and I do not know everything. One thing I will always stand on is this"Parents are the true experts of their children."

But what I do promise is this
I will learn
I will research
I will show up
I will meet every child exactly where they are and provide support to build them up

I knew I was called to do more. I did not want to be limited to helping only the children in one classroom, I wanted to help families everywhere. That is why I created Someone’s Hero Consulting (SHC).

Because before all of this
I was a parent

I was once a mother navigating an autism diagnosis with little to no resources in my area. I made the decision to further my education, grow, and learn not just for my child, but for every family that would come before me.

Today, my child is doing amazing. And I am also the mother of two other children on the spectrum, each completely different, each teaching me something new every single day.

So when I say I walk alongside my families, I mean that
I understand
I advocate
I support
I do not give up

This is not just what I do

SHC continues to expand across multiple cities throughout Arkansas, we are currently hiring qualified and passionate professionals who are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking candidates who are experienced in Autism support and dedicated to providing high-quality, ethical, and child-centered care.

Interventionists start at $50 per hour or higher based on experience and must hold a Master’s level degree, have a minimum of three years of experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and demonstrate experience developing and implementing Individualized Treatment Plans.

Lead Therapists start at $33 per hour or higher based on experience. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree, have at least three years of Autism experience, and possess a minimum of 120 hours of specialized ASD-specific training.

Line Therapists start at $25 per hour and must have a minimum of three years of Autism experience along with at least 80 hours of specialized ASD training.
