Arkansas State University Department of Communication Disorders Offering pre-professional Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders (BS-CMD), and Master of Communication Disorders (MCD) degrees

The Department of Communication Disorders at Arkansas State University-Jonesboro is physically located in Suite 211 of the new Donald W. Reynolds Center for Health Sciences building in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Due to ongoing construction on campus, please utilize GPS mapping to the parking deck location across the street from our building on North Caraway Road.

SCHOLARSHIP 🧑‍🏫💲🎓 The Betty Bass Scholarship application is now open until Friday, Oct. 2nd, 2026.

Betty Bass worked tirelessly for audiologists and speech-language pathologists in Arkansas. As a measure of gratitude, the ArkSHA Scholarship was renamed for Betty Bass in October of 2017. ArkSHA will be forever grateful for Betty’s service, leadership and kind spirit that she shared with all of us for so many years.

To honor Betty’s service, ArkSHA offers a scholarship from $500-$1000 to a student that is enrolled in a Communication Sciences and Disorders graduate program in the state of Arkansas. The applicant must be an Arkansas resident who, at present, plans to work in-state after graduation.
