Shout out to The Foundation of Arts for hosting, Downtown Jonesboro Alliance for the downtown connection, City of Jonesboro, AR for helping coordinate all of the moving pieces, Jonesboro Media Group for promoting the event and Eats competition, A-State Department of Art + Design for being awesome, the Generations Pro Rodeo group for bringing Big John the bull, and special thanks to our generous sponsors Signature Bank of Arkansas, Arkids Pediatric Day Centers and Cynergy Rehab Group. Plus a whole team of behind the scene volunteers making sure the day runs smoothly. It truly takes a village! 👏

These students went above and beyond to show their work in the Creative Showcase at Create@State! Fantastic job! Jacob King and Kayla Minick's project on camera obscura even won third prize 🥳

Our second Windgate 3D Biennial Symposium will be taking place from March 9-13! Throughout the week, artists in residence will be demoing, lecturing, pouring iron, and firing our wood kiln(s). All programming is free and open to students and the public.

The first of our senior spotlights for December graduates goes to Ca Nguyen!
About her time in Art + Design she shared:

I truly loved my time at A-State as a Graphic Design student. The Art + Design program provided a supportive and inspiring environment that helped me grow creatively and professionally. I am especially grateful for the dedication and guidance of my professors, who played a major role in shaping my skills and confidence as a designer.

One of my most memorable experiences was the Special Topics in Art History trip to Paris. Seeing artworks in person that I had previously only studied through books and screens was incredibly meaningful and inspiring, and it deepened my appreciation for art and visual culture.
