The Luc Cochran Foundation has made the decision to cancel the upcoming Miles for Mentorship 5K, previously scheduled for September 5, 2026.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who registered, supported, shared, or helped us prepare for this event. While we were looking forward to bringing our community together, we believe canceling the event at this time is the best decision for our organization and those we serve.

All registration refunds are currently being processed and will automatically be returned to the original payment method. Please allow several business days for the refund to reflect on your account, depending on your bank or financial institution.

There is no action required from registered participants at this time.

Here's what we offer:

📚 Scholars Tutoring. Personalized academic support in math, reading, writing, science, and more. Sessions available in 30, 60, or 120 minutes with experienced tutors.

💻 Digital Foundations. Build essential computer skills, learn internet safety, create a resume, and get workforce-ready. No experience needed.

🌟 BrightBeacon Mentorship. Goal-setting, leadership, and confidence-building for youth. (Currently paused. Stay tuned for updates!)

🥫 Nourish Network. Connecting families to food resources because no one learns well on an empty stomach.

Our latest feature takes a closer look at something we care deeply about: the digital divide. Having a phone, computer, or internet connection is only part of the equation. People also need the skills, support, and confidence to actually use technology to get ahead.

That’s where we come in.

From digital education and technology assistance to tutoring, career readiness, and connectivity support, we’re working to make technology a doorway to opportunity—not another barrier.

We’ve grown a lot since 2024, but we’re still a grassroots organization at heart, doing the work one person, one family, and one community at a time.
