At the heart of Axios Jonesboro Christian Academy is a vision that has been years in the making.

As the founder of Axios, Pastor Darrell Runyan has dedicated more than 40 years to ministry and has faithfully served as Pastor of The Pentecostals of Jonesboro for the past 15 years. A graduate of John Brown University with a bachelor's degree in Business and Information Systems, Pastor Runyan combines leadership, organizational excellence, and a lifelong passion for Christian discipleship.

His vision for Axios extends far beyond academics—it is to partner with families in raising a generation of young people who love God, pursue excellence, think biblically, and are equipped to influence their world for the Kingdom of God.

Mrs. Cassidy brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a love for music to our elementary students. Through music, she will encourage students to express themselves, discover new talents, and experience the joy of learning and creating together.

Adrienne brings a strong background in science and education, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and a Master of Science in Forensic Science. With her experience and passion for learning, she strives to challenge students to think critically, stay curious, solve problems, and discover God through His creation. 🔬📚

We are excited to welcome Rachel Sullinger to our team as our secondary English teacher.

Mrs. Sullinger earned her BSE in English Education from Williams Baptist University and her MSE in English Education from Arkansas State University. She brings more than 13 years of experience teaching junior high and high school English.

Mrs. Sullinger is grateful that God led her to serve at Axios. She considers it a privilege to partner with families in helping students grow academically, spiritually, and in their character through Christ-centered education.

Outside the classroom, Mrs. Sullinger enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and helping at her family's restaurant, Chef's In Downtown Cafe.

She is excited to become part of the Axios community and looks forward to investing in the lives of her students.

Welcome back to the Axios Family, Bob Holcomb!

We are excited to welcome Bob Holcomb as our new Junior High Teacher at Axios Jonesboro Christian Academy!

Mr. Holcomb brings a wealth of experience in education, leadership, and service. As a veteran of the United States Air Force, he served as a USAF Master Instructor, where he developed a passion for teaching, mentoring, and equipping others for success. His educational experience also includes teaching Physical Science at Axios and working with Arkansas Early Learning, giving him a well-rounded perspective on student development across multiple age groups.

Bob is known for creating structured, engaging classrooms where students are challenged to think critically, grow academically, and develop strong character. His ability to adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs, combined with proactive classroom leadership, helps students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

At Axios, we believe education is about more than academics—it is about shaping hearts, minds, and a biblical worldview. We are confident that Mr. Holcomb's commitment to excellence, leadership, and Christian values will have a lasting impact on our junior high students as they prepare for the future God has planned for them.
