Today was a day that will leave a lasting impact on our STEAM community!

We were incredibly honored to welcome Trevor Muir, a renowned author, educator, and one of the leading voices in Project-Based Learning to spend the day with our Nettleton STEAM Intermediate and STEAM Elementary teams.

Trevor kicked off the day with an inspiring keynote that challenged us to think differently about what learning can be. He reminded us that when students are given purpose, authentic challenges, opportunities to collaborate, and an audience beyond the classroom, learning becomes truly unforgettable.

In the afternoon, our teachers rolled up their sleeves and experienced Project-Based Learning firsthand! Working collaboratively, they designed and built projects of their own before participating in a gallery walk where they celebrated one another’s creativity, innovation, and ideas. It was exactly the kind of authentic learning experience we hope to create for our own students every day.

Many educators know Trevor through his influential books, including The Epic Classroom, The Collaborative Classroom, Make Learning Memorable, and New Teacher Mindset. Having the opportunity to learn directly from him was an incredible privilege, and we left inspired, energized, and excited to continue growing Project-Based Learning experiences for our STEAMers.

We also loved sharing this experience with our sister school, Nettleton STEAM Elementary. Learning together, growing together, and dreaming bigger together is what makes our STEAM family so special.

Trevor, thank you for investing in our educators, encouraging us to create classrooms where learning has purpose, and reminding us that the best projects don’t just teach standards, they change lives. We are grateful for your time, your passion, and your heart for students and teachers alike!
