🐺This is our last group of students who submitted a senior survey and photo. However, we have more pictures to share from the Honors Recognition Ceremony forthcoming! 🎓

We want to follow Andrew's lead and give a shout out to the family and friends who support these honors student!

🐺This group of graduates were recognized with "In University Honors". They completed 24 honors credits (with at least 12 being in upper level classes). They also wrote, defended, and published an honors senior thesis.🎓

Damien has some great suggestions for our current and incoming honors students. "Get involved... wake up and go to class"!

📈Several honors students were recognized by the State University Neil Griffin College of Business during a Convocation of Scholars awards ceremony for the college last month. 🎓

💲Honors student, Damien Ehie of Jonesboro received the Chancellor’s Scholar Award and 4.0 Scholar Award as the college’s graduating senior with the highest overall grade point average. He will graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Music. He recently defended his honor senior thesis: The Ethnic and Cultural Amalgamation in Buenos Aires and the Evolution of the Argentine Tango.🎶

Several other honors students were recognized: Colin, Reese, Braden, and Isabel. Congratulations to everyone recognized during the event!!!🐺

Incoming A-State honors student, Klaire Harper recently earned acceptance to 87 colleges and universities across the country and has received over $6 million in scholarship offers.

We look forward to welcoming Klaire as she plans to pursue a Chemistry major on a pre-pharmacy track in the fall.

Thesis Thursday: Salma Abdel Karim

Congrats to recent grad, Salma. Her thesis is titled: Anti-Inflammatory Properties of Isoflavones and an Isoflavone-Rich Extract from Pigeon Pea Hairy Root Cultures in RAW 264.7 Macrophages. The project was the culmination of the past year of research in Dr. Medina-Bolivar's Lab.

We have a special memory with Alex during the summer 2025 Honors Study Abroad to Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia. 🐒

🐺These outstanding graduates are among those who graduated with the recognition of "In Honors". Some will be moving across the country for graduate school, while others will be here on campus to continue their education.🎓

Six A-State students have been selected as inaugural Freshman to Physician participants. The first cohort of six students includes four honors students: Thomas M, Haydyn F, Andrea P, and Ty D. Congratulations to all of these students!

Thesis Thursday: Andrew Orr

Prior to commencement, Andrew was a regular in the honors office. His thesis is titled: Designing a Steel Bridge: A Structural Overview was successfully defended prior to his recent graduation this spring. He spent hundreds of hours on this project as part of work for multiple courses.
