Scarlet to Black was honored to partner with Economics Arkansas to host a professional development session for NEA teachers. We shared conference opportunities for K-8 students for the upcoming year. Jonesboro Business Association shared about their Youth Entrepreneurship Summit for junior high students. Delta Center shared about their upcoming event Thrown to the Wolves for high school students. Finally, CREST - Career Readiness, Education & Skills Training shared upcoming opportunities coming to the community through their partnership with ASTATE! It’s always a pleasure to collaborate, network, and share with the teachers we serve!

This week Scarlet to Black was honored to volunteer at Valley View Middle School with Ms April Johnson’s Gifted and Talented students as they participated in STEMAIVERSE ‘s SPACE CAMP 🚀🌏💫

This five-day program consisted of:
👩‍🚀 A visit with former Astronaut: Commander Susan Kilrain!
🌏Interactive activities in STEM and CODING!
🚀Rocket design and flight using bottle rockets!
💫Blog entries, video diaries, and a final presentation for parents!

These kids and our staff sure were tired by the end of this week, but it’s safe to say that each and every one of us walked away smarter than when we started!

THIS WEEK!

Scarlet to Black hosted its first camp of the summer! These CHAMPION CHALLENGERS were tasked with inventing, designing, marketing, and testing an original board game. It’s safe to say this camp was full of young entrepreneurs!! 🧩💰🐺
