🎶 “Balls away, balls away, time to put the balls away!” 🎶
Does your toddler struggle with transitions? Try singing through the toughest transitions throughout your day! Picking up toys, getting a diaper changed, leaving a fun place, when snack time is over, etc.
You can use any melody you want or even change the words to a fun song you know they love.

Ball play is SO.MUCH.FUN. and when it’s time to put the balls away, we can experience some really big feelings. Look how these toddlers are working together to clean up the balls! What you can’t see here is how we are happily singing 🎶, making a game out of it as we toss them in the basket 🧺, and celebrating with some clapping and positive reinforcement once we are done. 👏🏻
It makes transitions to the next activity SO much smoother!

Parents, one-year-olds have a very short attention span so adding a steady tapping beat, some sign language, and even some movements to storytime can help keep them engaged & interested in what you are reading.

At Kindermusik, we value storytime because we know the importance of building a solid foundation for future reading success for our toddlers in every class! 📖
