A piece of A-State is coming to the new First Community Bank Sportsplex!

As part of a newly announced partnership between Arkansas State University and the Sportsplex, the facility will be home to the 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐟𝐞, an A-State-branded space where athletes and visitors can grab a bite and experience a little Red Wolves spirit while they’re there.

The partnership will also create opportunities to connect Sportsplex visitors with A-State and provide future employment opportunities for our students. 🐺❤️

We love St Jude!

Our yearly trip to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was amazing today! Thank you to their volunteers for walking us around floors of labs; no matter how many times we go, it is always a great experience for us and the students.

Hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, occurs when blood glucose levels drop below 70 mg/dL. According to the CDC, it can lead to a range of symptoms from dizziness and anxiety to more severe consequences such as confusion of having trouble seeing clearly. KASU reporter, Lexie Burns, spoke with Dr. Eric West, a professor of dietetics at Arkansas State University. His research has also found hypoglycemia reduces reaction times while driving. During his research he found that many participants were unaware of the impact hypoglycemia has on driving safety, and just how prevalent the symptom of reduced reaction time is.
