We congratulate Sergeant Pigg on his recent promotion with our department.
Sgt. Chris Pigg began his career with the Jonesboro Police Department in December 2014. He graduated from BRTC LETA in 2015. He has an associate’s degree in law enforcement from Arkansas State University. He spent several years on the third shift patrol division and was a field training officer. In 2021, he was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division. Two years later, he moved to the Internet Crimes Against Children Division. He received several Officer of the Month awards and received the Meritorious Service Medal in 2022.
We are proud of the hard work and dedication he has provided to the department and to the community. Job well done, Sgt. Pigg.

The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for the Twenty-Third Judicial District has concluded its review of a May 2025 officer-involved shooting in Cabot and determined two Cabot Police Department officers acted lawfully and in accordance with Arkansas self-defense statutes.
ASP's Criminal Investigation Division conducted an independent investigation of the incident.

Affidavit: Couple pretended to be federal agents to rob home A Memphis area couple faces multiple charges after investigators said they pretended to be federal agents to rob a Jonesboro home.

Michael D. Jackson, 38, and Traneisha Hall, 33, both from out of state, are accused of impersonating federal agents in Jonesboro. Police say they displayed fake Homeland Security credentials, had guns, tactical gear, and ma*****na.
Jackson faces felony forgery and criminal impersonation charges, along with multiple misdemeanors. Hall also faces a felony impersonation charge. Federal authorities may also bring charges.
