Hunting comes with some restrictions. Consult your local warden for details.

SMALL GAME:
ENGLISH SPARROWS: No closed season.
STARLINGS: No closed season.
PIGEONS: No closed season.
NUTRIA: No closed season.

OTHER BIG GAME:
FERAL HOGS: No limit, no closed season; however, there is a warning. They carry infectious which are transmissible to humans. Precautions must be taken when contacting and cooking the .

Also, while other game including , , and remain on the unprotected list, since we don't eat them, we don't hunt them.

GARDEN ESSENTIALS:
Gardens succeed when a viable ecosystem is created which includes allies such as worms, bees, hummingbirds, and bats.

Heirloom are diminishing.
Organic fertilizer costs will skyrocket.
Bee populations are plummeting.

Save, preserve and safely store all organic seeds. Use rabbit manure as fertilizer for your crops. Plant and other botanical to attract and create safe havens for and other pollinators.

HOMESTEADING ESSENTIALS:
One of the greatest frustrations that we've discovered amongst many homesteaders is the inability to construct, fix, and repair basic construction, electrical, and plumbing needs.

It would be best to study and learn enough basic engineering skills to install perimeter fencing, security cameras and lighting, irrigation pipes, solar panels, construct a mini home, animal habitats and garden beds.

GENERATORS:
Redundancy is key for successful energy production. This includes having at least one electrical generator, one fuel generator, several solar panels, wind turbine, water pump, and a few mini geomagnetic turbines.

HOMESTEAD ESSENTIALS:
Here is a basic guideline on choosing the correct lot of land on which to :
1. Research the proposed site for tax liens and any debts or unresolved legal issues connected to the .
2. Choose land that is not landlocked. You must have direct access to your land without having to enter another owner's lot.
3. Choose land that has fertile and not too rocky to grow .
4. Research city hall records for proposed real development within the next 10-20 years.
5. Make sure the land is legally set up for development.
6. Assess the soil pH and check upstream for sources of contamination.
7. Secure water rights and rights, land patents, and land grants.
8. Make contingency plans that include increased taxes, unfriendly neighbors, flood zones, weather patterns, and growing seasons.

A few considerations regarding water:
1. Please have a redundant means of which to source . This includes knowing your water table, on-site water tributaries, flood seasons, patterns, well water surveying and construction, and irrigation routing.
2. Harvest water from gutters, harvesting canopies, dew collection points, and use of dehumidifiers and condensation mechanisms.
3. Harvest water into making sure that your supply remains clean and free from chemical and biological contaminants, not allowing your water supply to freeze!

3. Practice pickling, canning, dehydrating, and preserving wholesome, store-bought ,
4. Learn how to make alternate forms of including solar panel operations, wind turbine, and geomagnetic power,
5. Learn , plumbing, and electrical basics,
6. Practice off-grid skills,
7. Learn how to use the art of bartering,
8. Learn how to care for a dog, a cat, a rabbit and fish,
9. Practice self defense,
10. Research laws in your State and best practices for purchasing and securing property for legacy development,
11. Develop and tone your body strength and overall physical , and
12. Identify and develop your proposed homestead team's skill sets, talents and abilities that prove to be assets.
