HEY!! Do you know of someone who can be interested? Please refer us to them! Great for all majors! Great leadership experience!
Official page for JJC's Sustainability Union Student Sustainability Union first began as Students for a Sustainable Future.
The club was formed by Tiffany Mucci and Antonio Franco, students of Joliet Junior College. They approached Maria Anna Rafac about how they felt a student organization advocating for the environment was and is necessary.

Seasonal Restoration Work Day!! The Science Department and the Forest Preserve of Will County organized the event and with the help of dedicated community members, JJC staff, faculty and students. We were able to remove Buckthorne tree from along the bike trail at JJC. Rhamnus cathartica, colloquially known as common buckthorn is a deciduous shrub or a small tree native to Europe. All parts of this plant are mildly poisonous. The fruit has a purgative effect - hence the name. Common buckthorn is considered an invasive species in certain parts of North America.
