✨ Mariachi music is alive in Joliet! ✨
In less than a year, the Joliet Community Mariachi Group has grown to 60 talented students sharing the soul of mariachi music with our community.
We’re excited to announce our upcoming “Suit Up Mariachi” campaign to help outfit these talented young musicians with traditional mariachi uniforms that reflect their passion and dedication. 🎻🌟

Those of you that have spoken to me at some point have probably heard me speak with pride about my hometown of Joliet, Illinois. A few years ago I started a non-profit to help provide music and arts for all students in the Joliet area, with a focus on low-income/underserved students, Legacy Fine Arts, Inc NFP.
Legacy Fine Arts is proud to announce that the Joliet Community Mariachi Band is now a part of our organization! This group was launched by one of our Joliet band directors, Christine Adelmann. She and her fellow teachers have been doing a wonderful job of teaching students, creating community, and providing opportunities for some of our young people to perform.
The Joliet Community Mariachi Band currently has a need for mariachi instruments to ensure that our students have the necessary equipment to perform. We'll be hosting some fundraisers soon: we are hoping to get more vihuelas and guitarrons in our students' hands so they can perform at their concerts and continue creating their own legacy in the Joliet community.
In the meantime, I invite my friends, family, and future friends to consider donating to the Joliet Community Mariachi band for the purpose of providing instruments and supplies. The Joliet Community Mariachi band is a part of Legacy Fine Arts Inc. NFP, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. ANY AMOUNT HELPS!
