Today, our middle school students put their skills and teamwork to work by building benches for the City of Amsterdam! 🛠️💙

This project is a great reminder that making a difference in your community has no age requirement. Through service, our students are learning that even small acts can have a lasting impact.

We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and commitment to giving back to their community!

What an incredible way to wrap up our High School Summer Academy!

This week's theme was Leadership & Team Building, and our students rose to the challenge. They strengthened their communication skills through improv activities, worked together to conquer exciting team-building challenges at NY Zipline Adventures, and explored what it means to be a positive leader in their schools and communities.

Over the past three weeks, our students have explored college and career opportunities, built lasting friendships, served their community, and developed skills that will help them succeed both in and out of the classroom. We are so proud of everything they accomplished and can't wait to see what they do next!

Thank you to all of our students, staff, and community partners for making this year's Summer Academy such a memorable experience. Have a wonderful rest of the summer! ☀️

Last week, our LPP Summer Academy focused on the power of community!

Students put their creativity and teamwork to the test by designing and building their own cities. Each team was challenged with a real-world issue affecting their community and worked together to develop thoughtful, innovative solutions.

We wrapped up the week by putting those values into action with a Day of Service at the Gloversville Regional SPCA. From problem-solving to giving back, our students demonstrated that strong communities are built through collaboration, compassion, and service.

Last week was week 1 of FMCC LPP's summer programming. Our high school students kicked off the summer by exploring exciting college and career opportunities. Throughout the week, they visited both the University at Albany and Syracuse University, where they toured the campuses, learned about college life, and began imagining what their futures could look like.
