⚽ Teal Out for Ovarian Cancer Awareness! ⚽
Tonight, our teams stepped onto the field ready to compete in some tough matches but the night was about much more than soccer.

We proudly wore teal to raise awareness for ovarian cancer and to show our support for those affected.

Today, Jordyn Powell and Ka’Yona Jeffers had the opportunity to interview with Greater Johnstown High School alumni Jadyn Vogel, who now works with WJAC-TV

The interview focused on the details and excitement surrounding Central Celebration, happening September 19, 2026 from 12-6PM at Central Park!

Jordyn Powell and Kayona Jeffers had the opportunity to speak with Bo Moore from Froggy 95.5 and Key 96.5 to help promote Central Celebration, the grand opening celebration of the newly renovated Central Park in downtown Johnstown. The students shared information about the upcoming event and encouraged community members to come together and enjoy the live entertainment, local vendors, family activities, and other festivities. Their participation was a great example of student leadership, community involvement, and the importance of using their voices to promote positive events happening in the Johnstown community. Central Celebration will take place on September 19 from 12:00–6:00 p.m. at Central Park.

We are in support with the West Hills Police Department and Lower Yoder Twp. in addressing this important safety concern. Our shared goal is to educate students and families about the risks associated with electric scooter use, particularly during travel to and from school, and to help prevent a serious injury or tragedy in our community. Can you please find a way to distribute this information to students and parents in the best way that you see fit? We are trying to educate the community by as many avenues as possible before someone gets hurt and police start enforcement of the law.
