The JTA proudly continued its annual Books for Babies drive during the 2025–2026 school year, once again donating books to Nathan Littauer Hospital’s Birthing Center!

👶🏻 Thanks to the generosity of our members, the JTA collected new books and monetary donations to help promote early literacy skills for our youngest learners right from the start.

👶🏻 Organizer Stephanie Divisconti, along with her daughter Madelyn Divisconti, a first grader at Pleasant Avenue, worked diligently to gather and prepare book bags for local families.

👶🏻 This initiative remains just one of the many meaningful programs the Johnstown Teachers’ Association proudly supports each year to give back to our amazing community.📚

First official donation to the restoration of One Church Street! While we are still in the process of assessing the damage with our insurance company and our adjusters, we know there will be costs that aren't covered for things we need right now.
We are so grateful to the Johnstown Teachers Association for their donations from Dress Down days. Kim Preston, who brought the check, is also a member of one of our NOAH teams -- Team Quarterly Meeting. (Truth? I didn't recognize her without her chef hat!)

Each holiday season, the Johnstown Teachers’ Association loves showing appreciation to our amazing local crossing guards 🚸 for their dedication to keeping our community safe. This year, we were excited to extend that gratitude to our incredible police department 🚓💙 as well!
