There's been promises of helping the childcare industry for parents & providers since at least 2017- They've claimed most of Weld County *& other areas* as a 'childcare desert' since then as well, however no immediate solutions ever happen. Centers can't afford the operation costs, licensing compliance costs & a lot of parents can't afford tuition costs. The state of CO needs to address this immediately, not in another 10 years while still saying Weld County *& others* are childcare deserts & doing nothing to improve this, letting more rules/regulations being added twice yearly is also detrimental & making the situation worse- would you rather I use all of my time doing paperwork, working to adhere to more rules for them or more time with the kids & the staff? The Early Childhood Education Association is one entity that's in our corner, working hard for positive change, but we need more! An arecent rticle written by Scott James helps open the light of the ongoing problem. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CyH847uMf/
