This last week we found out our FFA chapter was rated a 3-star chapter, which is the highest rating an FFA Chapter can receive on the National Level! In fact, less than 10% of chapters in the nation received this designation this year! We are so extremely proud of our ffa members who make this possible!
The National Chapter Award Program is designed to recognize FFA chapters that actively implement the mission and strategies of the organization. These chapters improve chapter operations using the National Quality Chapter Standards (NQCS) and a Program of Activities (POA) that emphasize growing leaders, building communities and strengthening agriculture. Chapters are rewarded for providing educational experiences for the entire membership. The chapter must complete at least fifteen activities a year (one for each of the five quality standards in each of the three divisions).
We want to take a moment to specifically recognize the work of our FFA officer teams over the past four years. We decided to start working on our National Chapter application from scratch four years ago. It has taken so much time and dedication by all the officers on these teams creating events, taking photos, setting goals, reflecting on events, etc. We couldn’t have done it without our young leaders taking initiative and putting in the hours of work it’s taken to reach this milestone!
This distinction is a HUGE honor for our chapter, our advisors, and our members both present and past. We will be honored at National Convention this October in Indianapolis, and are also eligible for a National Premier Chapter Award as well as a Models of Excellence Award to be announced at convention.
Finally, we want to thank our amazing community for all your support! Our students wouldn’t be as successful as they were without your support at our events, donations for labor and silent auction, volunteering to help coach our teams, employing our members, and so much more!
