Due to weather, Johnston Green Days carnival opens tonight and tomorrow (Thursday and Friday) at 6pm. We open early on Saturday, noon to 4p; and again, 6p until close Saturday.

All runs are untimed. Enjoy the pancake breakfast and Green Days Parade after. Please make sure to note that Pioneer Parkway will be closed around 9:30 AM for the parade. Registration closes Saturday, 13, 2026, at 6:30 AM.

Memorial Day is observed annually on the last Monday of May and serves as a solemn occasion to reflect on the sacrifices of those who gave their lives in service to the United States. Originally called Decoration Day, the holiday began after the American Civil War when communities decorated the graves of fallen soldiers with flowers. The first national observance took place on May 30, 1868, at Arlington National Cemetery, following a proclamation by Major General John A. Logan of the Grand Army of the Republic.
