We are so sad to hear of the death of Dolly Parton. We have been partners with the Dollywood Foundation for over 20 years and through their support have been able to provide over 43,000 books to children in Edgefield County. We will keep her legacy going by continuing our work gifting books to young children every month.

Job Title: Edgefield County First Steps (ECFS) Program Specialist
Status: Part-time – 16-20 hours per week
Location: Edgefield County First Steps office (Johnston, SC)
Salary range - $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
The Edgefield County First Steps (ECFS) Program Specialist oversees and executes a variety of tasks related to Edgefield County First Steps programs. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational and communication skills to ensure the successful implementation and operation of ECFS programs and events. This position reports to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and attend community meetings with organizations, community partners, and families to promote and build partnerships for ECFS programs
Participate in outreach events
Recruit families for ECFS programs and maintain ongoing communication and engagement.
Plan, coordinate, and execute program-related events including parenting meetings and other events as necessary
Ensure all administrative and operational aspects of the programs are handled efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:
Education: Post high-school education in Social Work, Communications, Human Services, or related field preferred.
Experience: Experience in program coordination, community outreach, or a related role preferred.
Skills:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Other Requirements:
Flexibility to attend meetings and events outside of regular office hours as needed.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required, with some travel required in the county and occasional travel outside the county

The Edgefield County First Steps Partnership Board is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations to partner in providing services for a 3K classroom in Edgefield County through our Early Education Program Support program. Responders must be licensed by the South Carolina Department of Social Services (SCDSS) and be rated, or in the process of being rated, by the ABC quality program.
