Welcome to Little Learners Preschool and Enrichment Center, where we encourage your child's lifelong learning. Our program is designed to enhance the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development inclusive to all children. Little Learners also offers enrichment programs and itinerants which include cooking, spanish and music classes. Our program classes are Infant, Toddler, and Prescho

ol. Owner Jessica Tenerella is a certified early childhood educator who has been teaching preschool for the past 8 years. She has taught in both public schools and private schools.

🍎 APPLE of my eye 🍏

Get ready for a juicy adventure through exploration and discovery! Our Apple investigation was a blast - exploring apples through sight, sound, touch, and of course, taste! We tasted granny smith apples, red delicious apples, golden delicious apples and applesauce! We all took a vote on which apple was our favorite and graphed the results. We then went beyond snacking and dived into the scientific side of apples. We uncovered the life cycle of an apple and its different parts. The grand finale? We put on our chef hats and baked our own apple pies! The children had so much fun measuring and mixing and baking a delicious apple pie to bring home! 🥧 ♥️

All About ME! 🩷

Last week was all about getting to know our friends! We celebrated their uniqueness by showcasing their distinct physical appearances, personality traits, and family compositions through hands-on activities.

From self portraits to family glyphs, we were able to discuss what makes us different from one another on both physical and non physical components. Children were able to develop skills in the areas of science, social studies, literacy, creative arts, social/emotional, and mathematics.

We are looking forward to another week of fun! 🤩

PRESCHOOL fun from last week! 🦋 🌟

We had the best “first week of school!” Our preschoolers came to school to a whole new set up of centers. We introduced some new materials and new areas in the classroom. Our friends specifically loved our dramatic play area that we turned into an apple orchard! 🍎🌳🍏 They had a blast “picking apples” and ringing out customers at the cash register.

We also had a lot of fun working on our sign in sheets every morning. Preschool sign ins are great for developing skills such as cognitive, fine motor and literacy. Sign in sheets help children to recognize their name as a whole and the individual letters that make up their name. It also helps to develop fine motor skills by using hand and finger muscles to properly hold and manipulate a pencil. Lastly, it is great for letter formation. Some students worked on tracing their name while others wrote it on their own. They all worked so incredibly hard and were excited for their progress this year! ✏️ ✍️

We also were able to squeeze in some fun activities! We’re excited for a fun week ahead! ♥️

We wanted to wish a happy first day of school to our friends who are off to kindergarten today! ✏️ 🩷

We’re so proud of them and we know they’re going to have the best school year!

Today is also the first day of our fall program! We wanted to take the time to celebrate our friends here who are transitioning to preschool/pre-kindergarten. We’re so excited for a fun-filled year with our friends! 🩷🌟🌳
