What an incredible experience at the FBLA National Leadership Conference! We are extremely proud of these outstanding students who represented Edgefield County Schools, Strom Thurmond High School, and the Strom Thurmond Career & Technology Center with professionalism, leadership, and excellence on the national stage.

Competing against some of the nation’s top future business leaders is an accomplishment in itself. These students represented our schools, our community, and the state of South Carolina with pride, integrity, and determination. Their hard work, preparation, and professionalism were evident throughout the conference, and they have made all of us proud.

Advisor Derrick Williams shared:

These students represented Edgefield County, Strom Thurmond High School, and the Strom Thurmond Career & Technology Center with class, professionalism, and excellence. I couldn’t be prouder of this group and the way they carried themselves throughout the week. They truly exemplified what it means to be future business leaders.”

Congratulations to STHS Senior, Carli Burden, on being honored at the SC STEM Signing Day!

Carli plans to attend Clemson University in the Fall and pursue a degree in Nursing. She has already earned her Patient Care Technician certification, as well as Phlebotomy and EKG Technician certifications while being a part of our Health Science career pathway.

High school seniors from across the state were recognized on April 29 at South Carolina’s STEM Signing Day in Columbia, celebrating their commitment to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics after graduation.

Strom Thurmond High School and Strom Thurmond Career and Technology Center are extremely proud of her accomplishments and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her!

Please help STCTC in congratulating Aleah Head for receiving the SC Career and Technical Education Association Scholarship yesterday at the SC SCASA meeting. Out of 60 applicants across the state, Aleah was one of four students to receive this honor.

Aleah has been an asset to both STHS and STCTC the last couple of years and we are proud to have her as a STHS Rebel!
