We are very excited to have our students back at school and welcome our many new students. We have grown tremendously and we are ready!

Here is some information for our families for next week as we start our school year.

Monday, August 24, our teachers and staff have a retreat/PD.

Tuesday, August 25
We will have our PreK3, PreK4, and Kindergarten Orientation from 8:30–9:30 a.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for our youngest students and families to meet their teachers and become familiar with their classrooms. Children do not need to wear their school uniforms for orientation. Please enter through our front entrance.

Wednesday, August 26
This will be the first day of school for students in Grades 4–8. Students should enter through the front door of the school.

Thursday, August 27
We will welcome designated students from our PreK3 and PreK4 classes, as communicated by your child's teacher, along with all students in Kindergarten and Grades 1–3.

Friday, August 28
The other half of our PreK3 and PreK4 students will attend, along with students in Kindergarten through Grade 8.

Transportation for our Johnston bus students is as follows:

As we look ahead to a new school year, we are truly blessed and filled with excitement for all that is to come. With Father Capoverdi, our dedicated faculty and staff, and our wonderful school community, we are ready for a faith-filled year centered on Christ, learning, and the love we share as a St. Rocco family. We look forward to all the blessings the 2026–2027 school year will bring!

What a beautiful day for our St. Rocco community!

Our children had a wonderful time celebrating Mass with Father Capoverdi. It was such a blessing to see our students come together in faith and joy as a school community.

A special thank you to Ron Cece for capturing these beautiful photos and helping us preserve these special memories!

We are also incredibly grateful to the Johnston Police Department for always supporting and standing with our St. Rocco community. Your continued partnership and dedication to our school mean so much to us.

Thank you to the Johnston Sunrise for spot lighting our upcoming St. Rocco Feast. We are very grateful to our community for all that they do for our parish and our school. We are blessed. ✝️

It takes a village to bring the annual St. Rocco Feast together, but thankfully, that’s what the church has, villagers by the hundreds.

We are getting ready ! Please join us beginning August 13th at 5:30pm for some amazing food, entertainment, and rides as we get ready for our famous St. Rocco Feast. 🇮🇹. Please remember to join us for our St. Rocco Feast Mass on Sunday , August 16th at 11am. We will have loaves of bread following mass and our amazing procession. Our St. Rocco children will lead our procession with Father Capoverdi around our neighborhood. We are very blessed. ✝️

Thank you to the Johnston Sun Rise for introducing Father Giacomo Capoverdi to our community. We are filled with joy and excitement as we welcome Father Capoverdi to our St. Rocco School and Parish family!

We look forward to his spiritual leadership and guidance as he helps us continue to grow in our Catholic faith and deepen our relationship with Christ. We are especially grateful that Father will be sharing his love of the Gospel with our students and helping keep Christ at the center of everything we do.

Welcome, Father Capoverdi! Together, we will continue Sharing in the Love of the Heart of Christ. ❤️✝️

An amazing week filled with greatness. Our 2nd grade students made their Holy First Communion , we celebrated Father Carusi and Sister Donna’s birthdays, visited PC, LaSalle Academy students completed their service time , and our kids enjoyed playing in our school yard. A school where ❤️ is happening.
