Northern Vermont University - Johnson Wellness Center The NVU-J Wellness Center provides free counseling services and referrals for undergraduate students No appointment necessary.

Services we offer:

-Single session consults
-Stress management and wellness consultations
-Individual, group, and couples counseling
-Relaxation room
-Outreach and prevention programming

Additionally, clinical services we offer include assessment, symptom management, harm reduction, skills acquisition and development, self-care improvement, increasing healthy and caring social supports, meaning

making, decision making, problem solving, enhancing personal strengths, using a variety of best practice modalities, individualized to your needs. The relaxation room is available to all NVU-Johnson students and is open when the Wellness Center is open. Our relaxation rooms offer the following tools to de-stress:

-Relaxation Room Offerings
-Light therapy and biofeedback
-Aroma therapy
-Soothing sounds
-Himalayan salt lamps
-Sand tray
-Fidgets
-Buddha board
-Meditations
-Art therapy

The relaxation room is available to all NVU-Johnson students and is open when the Wellness Center is open. NOTE: This page does not substitute emergency crisis response efforts. In the event of a mental health emergency, please reach out to a Residence Hall or Public Safety staff immediately, or call 911.

We hold Fern and those impacted by this loss in our hearts. If you need transportation to this vigil please contact the Office of Student Life 635-1200. The Wellness Center will have additional drop in hours on Monday from 1-4. Please contact us at [email protected] for support.
