J-B Parents & Community,

We wanted to follow-up with you now that the school year is underway.

At this time, we will be pivoting the direction of PTS to operate more as a foundation. PTS has offered teacher scholarships in the past and we are hoping to keep that going. While this was a hard decision to make, we also struggle to have consistent physical presence to help make events possible.

Does this mean events are going to completely stop? No, but we need more parent involvement to make them happen. If you have a suggestion or something you would like to see happen, we encourage you to plan out and execute the event. If you need funding, reach out to the board and we may be able to offer assistance.

We would love for PTS to make a return to it’s former glory, but until then we hope you can support us in this new format. The things that will stay:
- The J-B Apparel Store
- Opportunity for Community Support
- Potentially other easy to facilitate fundraisers
- Teacher Scholarships

If you have a desire in helping plan an event or getting more involved with PTS, please either email us at [email protected] or fill out the below Google doc.

Thanks!

J-B Parents,

With the new school year quickly approaching the PTS leadership wanted to send you a brief update. While PTS has worked hard to have a helpful presence at JB, at this time there is a lack of manpower to continue serving in the same capacity. We are confident PTS is needed at JB, and know it's valued. But we continue to run into the challenge of having willing volunteers to physically be present in carrying out our activities. Parents are spread thinly.

All this to say, PTS is in need of more help and leadership! If this sounds like a role you would be interested in assisting with please reach out. The email ([email protected]) is monitored and those who have been involved are happy to chat with anyone interested. For now, we'll be waiting on some interested volunteers before any plans are made for the upcoming year.

Wishing you the best in the upcoming school year!
