J-B Parents,

With the new school year quickly approaching the PTS leadership wanted to send you a brief update. While PTS has worked hard to have a helpful presence at JB, at this time there is a lack of manpower to continue serving in the same capacity. We are confident PTS is needed at JB, and know it's valued. But we continue to run into the challenge of having willing volunteers to physically be present in carrying out our activities. Parents are spread thinly.

All this to say, PTS is in need of more help and leadership! If this sounds like a role you would be interested in assisting with please reach out. The email ([email protected]) is monitored and those who have been involved are happy to chat with anyone interested. For now, we'll be waiting on some interested volunteers before any plans are made for the upcoming year.

Now that the 2025-2026 school year has wrapped up, PTS is looking for new leadership. If this is something you would be interested in, please reach out as we would like to have positions filled by July 1 to give ample time to get things in place for the next school year.

Activities PTS has facilitated in the past include:
- Open House Activities (free snowcones, stickers, beads, tattoos)
- Parent Teacher Conference Meal
-Teacher Scholarships
- Rivalry clothing fundraiser
- Yard Sign / Mum Fundraiser
- Sign up for Elementary Classroom parties
- Aquire monetary donations from local businesses
- Post Holiday Happy Hour for teachers and staff
- Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week goodies
- Middle school activities
- End of year popsicles for all students
- AR Store/Awards

Thank you for your continued support and monetary donation that made our AR Incentive of Bowling possible. We were able to take 37 students who met their AR goal bowling! The kids had a blast and are forever grateful for your continued support!! This would not have been possible without you so, Thank you again!!!

JB PTS invites you in helping us thank our teachers and staff during the upcoming Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4th - 8th). We are seeking monetary donations in helping provide Eileen's Cookies, Sunny Side drinks, Stocking the Lounge, and finishing up the week with breakfast (cinnamon rolls, fruit, and juice). The JB PTS Venmo is or contact Mallory Lempka to make drop off arrangements (402-335-7578).

Consider asking your child to make a special effort to say “thank you” to a member of the JB teachers and staff. We want them to know how much we appreciate them! Make a card, pass along a compliment or say a simple thank you!

We had a glitch today and the website was down for a bit —- so we are leaving the store open through the weekend!

All funds raised go towards our teacher scholarship program. This year that Included:

📚New books for a high school book club
🍿AR incentive to the movie theatre for upper elementary
🐇 Rabbit supplies for a high school Ag class
💡Florescent light covers
🍫Upper elementary hallway decorations and incentives during standardized testing weeks, and more!

PTS is hosting the Annual Post Holiday Happy Hour for Teahers/Admin/Staff of Johnson-Brock on January 9th. The event is held at the Legion Building after school until around 6:30. We welcome all volunteers and donations. If you would like to make a monetary donation towards pizza and beverages, the PTS Venmo is . If cash or check is more convenient, feel free to drop off the day of the event at the Legion or reach out to Mallory Lempka at 402.335.7578 for other arrangements.

JB PTS was able to cover the cost of 47 students (grades 3-5) to attend the Auburn State Theatre for meeting their first semester reading goal!

We sure hope these busy readers enjoyed the movie, 🍿, and 🥤!
