Welcome back to school! Our chapter officers greeted students and parents as they came in for open house last night. Remember you are all “mint” to be great! We will have an all chapter FFA meeting on Friday, 8/14, (tomorrow!) in Mrs. Sipes’ room at 5:30 with hot dogs and games.

Congrats to Austin for being named a National Finalist for his Agriscience Research Project. After winning state in May, his application was sent on for national review. He will have a virtual interview in September for the national competition. If you see him congratulate him for making it this far and wish him luck as he continues on! He is the first from our chapter to ever compete in the Agriscience Fair!

2026 Chapter Leadership Training for our officers is in the books! Personal and team growth, planning for next year, reflection, laughter, new friends and more. This great group of leaders is ready to challenge themselves and others to reach their greatest potential!

Jaydon and Tanah were just awarded their State FFA Degree, the highest degree a state can bestow! This is a result of their work in their Supervised Agricultural Experience programs.

Woohoo! Austin got first in the state for his Agriscience Research Project in Power, Technical and Structural Systems, Division 3! We are so proud of him! He will go on to the next phase of competition representing the state of Kansas!

State FFA Convention is underway! Tuesday was spent practicing for competition and touring the Hal Ross Flour mill to learn about the Milling industry and possible careers in milling. We did take time to enjoy sno cones! Wednesday, the Ag Issues team (Emelin, Kaydence, Rihanna, Allison & Daisy F.) competed and Austin presented his Agriscience Research project in the Blue and Gold Conclave. Tanah and Jaydon served as delegates. We also participated in the statewide community service project of packing hygiene bags for the needy. Emelin helped with LDEs as a SW District Officer and completed committee work for the association. Opening session was in the KSU Volleyball Arena Wednesday night and today’s sessions are back in McCain Auditorium! We will keep you posted for competition results!
