This weekend, the UpNext AAU Travel Basketball team competed in the 2026 Slam Fest at Hopkins County Central High School. The UpNext AAU Travel Basketball team went 4-0 and brought home the championship rings. Thank you Coach Shumpert and Coach Warfield.

Congratulations to Coach Shumpert, Assistant Coaches, and Team UpNext travel basketball for going 4-0 in their division at the Grassroots Showcase in Louisville, Kentucky. These young men played great selfless team basketball 🏀.

Yesterday, I presented at the Kentucky Association for Economic Development’s annual conference. The economic developers, business leaders, community stakeholders, and industry partners-discussed trends, shared best practices, and collaborated to drive economic growth in Kentucky.

Today, Tony Prim, Associate Director for Business Retention and Expansion in Hopkinsville, Kentucky provided Chris Woolridge and I an opportunity to tour Commonwealth Agri-Energy. Thank you Jonathan Stahl, Plant Manager for an amazing tour of their facility.
