We really need an active Literary Council here in Johnson City. This one has been inactive for more than 7 years.

It’s that time of year again to remind everyone to “LET YOUR GARDEN SLEEP IN”. Many insects bear out the winter in the leaves and stems of plants. Message me if interested in any of the signs I sell.

Northeast State Community College is happy to announce that as of July 1, 2016, they are now the home of Adult Education for Division One, State of Tennessee. Division One encompasses; Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Washington and Unicoi Counties. Classes are planned to begin in early August. Among others, locations for classes will include; Northeast State Community College at Elizabethton, Johnson City, Kingsport, Walters State Community College at Greeneville and the Adult Education facility in Rogersville. We have assembled a wonderful group of Lead and Part Time teachers and are excited about the opportunity to serve the community in such an important function. We will also continue to serve the part of the population that is incarcerated.

If you would like to be humbled and inspired (for free!!!) come to the Science Hill High School Auditorium tonight at 6:30 to witness the graduates of the Adult Education Program.
