🎻🪕 Ever dealt with pain or injury from playing your instrument?
We want to hear from you! Researchers at East Tennessee State University are studying playing-related pain and injury among Bluegrass/Old-Time/Roots/Traditional and Orchestral/Classical musicians — and how the two compare.
Whether or not you’ve experienced playing-related pain, your voice matters to this study.
To participate, you must be:
18 years of age or older
A Bluegrass/Old-Time/Roots/Traditional or Orchestral/Classical instrumentalist — or both!
3+ years of experience on your primary instrument
Able to complete the study in English
Physically present in the United States
The survey takes about 20–40 minutes. Some participants may also be invited to take part in an optional follow-up interview.
