Halloween party was a success! Despite the semester getting busier, sometimes it's nice to hang out and relax now and again with food, costumes, a movie, and games.

One reason why we have the Geoscience department at ETSU is because of the Gray Fossil Site. It's such a wonderful opportunity to have this nearby and be able to take tours and learn about our area's paleontological history. We also want to thank David Moscato, a former ETSU grad student, for giving our club an fantastic tour of the place.

If you ever get the chance, you should visit the site! ETSU students get in for free with their ID.

ETSU Department of Geosciences and the City of Johnson City use citizens like YOU to help collect scientific data! The next time you're at Founders Park, be sure to report the water level!

Thanks Tori Anderson and Ingrid Gough Luffman for showing us how to take Dissolved Oxygen (DO) and Turbidity (water clarity) measurements for Brush Creek at Founders Park! And thanks also to William Tollefson for giving a great Story Map presentation about the flood mitigation at ETSU and in Johnson City!
