Mrs. Smithβs students recently read *Momma Made Cookies* by local Johnson City author C.L. Kilgore. After reading the story, students baked their own cookies and delivered them throughout the building along with handwritten notes of encouragement for our teachers and staff.
What a sweet way to spread kindness while making connections between reading and real-life experiences. We are proud of these students for using their learning to brighten someone elseβs day!

At our most recent faculty meeting, some of our teachers had the opportunity to showcase the learning and growth that has taken place throughout this school year. Our teachers have dedicated themselves to learning and implementing high-yield instructional strategies that strengthen student learning and engagement. From activators at the beginning of lessons to meaningful collaboration throughout instruction, these strategies are making a difference in classrooms across our school and helping drive student achievement forward.
South Side teachers rock!
