Central Elementary

Oh the places we have traveled through and to with literature and art this year! After exceeding 168,000 pages read in 12 weeks, we wanted our top readers to celebrate by giving a pie in the face to Mr. Treadway. We then had the opportunity to see some amazing literary displays produced by our students as well as some truly creative works of art produced by Mrs. Kelley's class. We are so proud of our talented students and grateful to everyone who joined us for a memorable night filled with imagination and inspiration.

As we complete the final day of placements, we want to take a moment to celebrate and thank our dedicated student teachers. Your determination, passion, and commitment have made a lasting impact on our students and faculty. We are so proud of everything you all have accomplished and excited for what lies ahead as you approach graduation. Thank you for all that you have given to Central! Your hard work has not gone unnoticed, and your future students will be lucky to have you. We wish you all the success in the next chapter of your teacher journey!

We are so excited to congratulate our very own Mrs. Amanda Chandler on being named the Carter County Schools Elementary District Teacher of the Year! She is as amazing as she is kind and dedicated. Those qualities are evident in everything she does for our students. We are proud to call her a Central Comet!

It's testing season and we are diving in headfirst! Mr. Treadway greeted students this morning by encouraging them to stay focused, take their time, and take a big bite out of the TCAP tests. Our teachers also decorated the entrance sidewalk with positive messages of encouragement. Our student leadership team then greeted students with a TCAP Prep Bag to wish them luck and cheer everyone on as we swim into open waters to success!
