We would just like to take a minute and celebrate our wonderful bus drivers! We are so appreciative of your hard work and dedication. You are the first and last face some of our students see every day and your kindness and a smile make all the difference! We greeted our drivers with a surprise snack cart as well as heartfelt cards, coloring pages, and pictures. Thank you for transporting and keeping our students safe every single day! We ❤️ our Central bus drivers! 🚌

On Friday, we kicked off our first fundraiser of the school year! Students wore their animal lanyard home in order to write down the school code after receiving 8 email addresses. Students could then choose a mystery bag book buddy as a prize.
Just to add to the fun, Mr. Treadway and Ms. Anderson accepted the challenge of the "Question of the Day" and completed the mini marshmallow challenge!
Faculty and students then surprised Mr. Treadway with confetti and streamers for his birthday.
It is always a great time to be a Comet!

Ms. Heather Smith's Class is excited to partner with The Moon Coffee and Tea House for a special student writing project! Our 5th grade students designed coffee sleeves inspired by their writing about "What Makes Me Smile."
These positive messages will be shared with customers at The Moon's locations in Elizabethton and Johnson City, spreading encouragement and smiles throughout our community!
We're so thankful to The Moon for supporting our students and helping us spread kindness!

Kindergarteners in Mrs. Rachel's class learned sight words "I" and "like" today. They wrote about what they liked and shared with their classmates. They were so proud of themselves they asked if Mrs. Rachel could take their photo! Way to go Kindergarten! ✏️🎉

Mr. Treadway and Ms. Anderson have started greeting the students with a funny question in the morning when they arrive at school. It is a great conversation starter for students, teachers, parents, and even the bus drivers! Ice cream was the big winner today!
