โค๏ธ๐ DOMINICA โ THIS IS WHAT SERVICE LOOKS LIKE.
We came with clippers in our hands, backpacks on our shoulders, and a mission in our hearts.
Our Crown Cutz Academy service and study abroad experience in Dominica became about so much more than a trip. It was about showing up, giving back, connecting with people, and using our skills to serve.
๐ 200 haircuts
๐ 300 backpacks filled with school supplies
๐ชฅ 400 toothbrushes
๐ 300 T-shirts
๐คฐ 50 prenatal bags for expecting mothers
๐ง Mental health forum focused on conversation, education & support
But the numbers only tell part of the story.
Behind every haircut was a person. Behind every backpack was a child. Behind every donation was an opportunity to let someone know that they matter.
For our Crown Cutz students, this was education beyond the classroom. They traveled internationally, experienced another culture, worked together, served a community, and saw firsthand that the skills they are learning can make an impact far beyond the barber chair.
200 haircuts. 300 backpacks. 400 toothbrushes. 300 T-shirts. 50 prenatal bags. One mental health forum. Countless smiles, conversations, connections, and memories.
๐ฉ๐ฒ Dominica, thank you for opening your communities and your hearts to us.
We came to serveโbut we returned home having received something just as valuable: perspective, purpose, and a deeper understanding of what service really means.
This wasnโt just a trip.
This is the beginning of something bigger.
