Our entryway may look a little “under construction” right now—but it’s being transformed into a gallery where local artists can display their work and share their creativity with our community. 🎨

MOMAC has always been about more than art classes. We want to be a place where artists connect, creativity is celebrated, and our community can experience the incredible talent found right here in our area.

There’s a lot more happening at MOMAC than simply completing an art project. Students learn how materials behave, practice techniques, develop their own ideas and—sometimes—discover they’re capable of something they didn’t expect.

That process is one of our favorite parts of making art. Whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time or continuing years of creative work, there’s always something new to learn.

At the heart of MOMAC is its owner, Ladonna—an artist and teacher who believes in helping students develop not only their skills, but also the confidence to discover where their creativity can take them.

In this video, Ladonna shares more about herself and the three adult classes she’ll be teaching at MOMAC:

✏️ Intermediate Drawing
Explore graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, colored pencils, and other dry media while sharpening your drawing skills.
Tuesdays, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
or Fridays, 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

👐 Sculpture
Learn fundamental sculpting techniques while working with a variety of sculpting media.
Thursdays, 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

🎨 Portfolio Development
A semi-private class for intermediate to advanced students building a strong portfolio for college or a career in art. All visual-art media are welcome.
Saturdays, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Whether you’re ready to strengthen your technique, explore a new medium, or take a meaningful next step in your artistic journey, Ladonna offers the guidance and space to help you grow.

Watercolor invites us to slow down, notice the details, and discover what can happen when color and water begin to move together.

In this video, meet Corrine, the artist who will be leading MOMAC’s upcoming eight-week watercolor course. Through her thoughtful instruction, participants will develop practical watercolor skills while also learning to use those tools as a means of creativity and personal expression.

Whether you’re new to watercolor or ready to continue growing in your art, this class offers a welcoming space to learn, experiment, and create alongside others.

There is something powerful about learning to truly see the people around us—and then capturing their movement, expression, and story through art.

In this short video, meet accomplished artist and Tennessee native Mark Anderson, who will be leading MOMAC’s upcoming figure-drawing course. Over 16 hours of guided instruction, participants will draw from live models while developing everyday figure-sketching skills using pencil, graphite, and pastels.

Whether you’re hoping to strengthen skills you already have or give yourself space to explore something new, Mark’s experience and thoughtful instruction make this a wonderful opportunity to grow as an artist.

The class begins next Thursday, and there are still openings!
