On Friday, September 25, we invite our little bears to come dressed in their best Dolly-inspired or Tennessee attire! Think:

💕 Pink or bright colors
✨ Rhinestones, sparkles & sequins
🎶 A Dolly Parton shirt
🧡 A Tennessee shirt
🤠 A little country flair

No special outfit is necessary — just have fun with it!

Throughout the day, we’ll be listening to Dolly’s music, reading some of her books, learning a little about her and her Tennessee roots, and enjoying some Dolly-themed crafts!

We can’t wait for a fun day of music, books, sparkle, and Tennessee pride! 💖✨🎶

There are few people who represent the heart of Appalachia quite like Dolly Parton. Through her Imagination Library, Dolly has put millions of books into the hands of children and helped foster a love of reading from the very beginning. But what we love most about Dolly is what she has always stood for: kindness, inclusion, generosity, believing in yourself, and loving people for exactly who they are.

Her story reminds our children that you don’t have to come from a lot to become something extraordinary. Sometimes even a Coat of Many Colors can become a reminder that what matters most isn’t what something costs, but the love stitched into it. ❤️

So beginning this year, we’re dubbing September 25 (9/25) “Dolly Parton Day” at both Ted E. Bear Academy centers! 🦋📚✨

We’ll spend the day reading Dolly’s books, celebrating her story, talking about kindness and acceptance, and reminding our little bears that big dreams can grow from small places.

Thank you, Dolly, for loving our Appalachian home so fiercely, for believing in its children, and for being such a bright, shining example of what it means to use your success to lift others up.

We think that’s something worth celebrating. 💗
We will always love you.

🍽️ What’s for lunch at Ted E. Bear - K**b Creek?

Ms. Karen has been busy in the kitchen making one of our favorites — her Chicken Stuffing Casserole! 😋🐻

Today our little bears are enjoying:
🍗 Chicken stuffing casserole with mixed vegetables
🍊 Mandarin oranges
🍞 Warm buttered bread

We love being able to serve our kiddos warm, comforting meals made with love. Just one of the many wonderful lunches coming out of Ms. Karen’s kitchen at TEBA- K**b Creek! ❤️

TEBA KC scored a 100 on our most recent TDHS QRIS visit! We’d love to say our staff made it look easy—but we know just how much hard work, heart, and attention to detail go into earning a perfect score 💪

Today we’re celebrating one of the kindest souls at Ted E. Bear Academy! 💛 Candice brings 11 years of childcare experience, a heart for our littlest Cubs, and a whole lot of joy to our center.

And her heart extends far beyond the classroom—Candice is passionate about giving back to her community, including her involvement with Vincent Dial Day each year before school starts. 🫶

We’re so lucky to have her on our team—and if you know Candice, you already know that smile and laugh are absolutely contagious!
