Students who raised $35 or more earned a shoe tag. A recipient list will be available in the front office at pickup.

📚 Kindergarten Registration for the Lake Ridge Class of 2039 is almost here!
We're looking for volunteers on June 8 from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM to help welcome our newest Explorers and their families to Lake Ridge. If you're an experienced Lake Ridge parent, we'd love your help with:
🏫 Giving school tours
💻 Assisting families with the online registration process
🎨 Helping with a fun craft activity

We have to give a HUGE shoutout to our incredible PTA volunteer and Field Day chair extraordinaire, Maureen Knechtel! 💚☀️ Maureen spends months planning every detail of Field Day for our Explorers. From organizing activities and building a color coded master schedule to coordinating logistics across the entire school, booking inflatables, the magician, and storyteller, she truly does it all. She also brings dozens of volunteers from Milligan University, where she teaches in the Physician Assistant program, to help make the day run smoothly from start to finish.
Everything our students enjoyed during Field Day, including inflatables, popsicles, special guests, and activities, was funded through PTA support, and Maureen gives her time, energy, and leadership completely for free. Her dedication to Lake Ridge over the years has been nothing short of amazing, and Field Day runs “smooth like butter” because of the countless hours she pours into it behind the scenes. With her youngest child now finishing 5th grade, we honestly do not know what we are going to do without her next year. Thank you, Maureen, for everything you have done for our school, staff, and Explorers over the years! 💙
Today we had the honor of celebrating our graduating seniors at the Lake Ridge Senior Tea! 🎓💙💚
It was so special to welcome back these students who once walked the halls of Lake Ridge as little learners and are now preparing for their next big adventure. We are incredibly proud of all they’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see the amazing things ahead for each of them.
A very special thank you to , who has lovingly organized the Lake Ridge Senior Tea for many years. This was her final year leading this special tradition, and we are so grateful for the time, care, and heart she has poured into making it meaningful for so many students and families over the years. 🫶

A HUGE shoutout to Maureen Knechtel for organizing another amazing Field Day at Lake Ridge! 🎉 She has worked so hard to make this day special for our students year after year, and we are incredibly grateful for all the time, energy, and heart she has poured into this tradition.
This was Maureen’s final Field Day with us, and while she will be greatly missed, we are so thankful for the many wonderful memories she helped create over the years! 💙💚 Thank you, Maureen!
