So long sweet summer, fall is here. Harvest moon and nights so crisp and clear. Apples and pumpkins and gourds oh my! Bats are swooping through the sky. Earth now tilts away from the sun, the autumn season has begun. ~*

Our goldenrod is starting to bloom on the farm ~* Every year we harvest this amazing plant to put in our pain salves and tincture for an allergy relief. Many still blame this plant for their allergies, but the real culprit is ragweed which blooms at the same time. Goldenrod has pollen that can only be carried by insects, ragweed relies on airborne pollination. ****

Mimosa Love ~*
This tree found its way to my front garden bed and we patiently waited three years for her blooms to use as medicine.
Every herbalist has heard, pay attention to what shows up by your door, well eekkkk, the goddess herself has arrived 💕
Today her flowers were harvested and this week some bark will be harvested to create a beautiful happiness blend ~*

Yarrow ~*
Yarrow has the most incredible ability to quickly stop bleeding, having a direct, immediate, magical action in most first aid situations.
As a hemostatic, she may stop the flow of blood, as an antiseptic she may prevent infection, and as a analgesic she may ease the pain.
When our son had many nose bleeds, I would pick a few leaves and place them in his nostrils. He would comment about the tickling and smile as her magical powers stopped the bleedings. ✨
We are so honored to have yarrow grow in our meadows here in East Tennessee.
All the harvest today will be dried into a fine powder for CSA members to add to their first aid kits.
