Love Roots Farm School is a nature school for early childhood providing holistic teaching methods geared to connect children to nature. The children have the opportunity to spend a significant amount of time outdoors each day interacting with their peers in self directed, inquiry based play. My role as a teacher is to gently facilitate the process, ensure safety, and provide guidance and knowledge. The children's own interests and discoveries guide daily explorations. The schools philosophy shares attributes of Reggio Emilia, Maria Montessori, and Waldorf (Steiner) education. This balanced approach addresses the cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and creative development of every child and embraces each child in a unique way.
