These dancers have been very busy the last few weeks! Students performed at Johnson City's "Meet the Mountains" festival on the beautiful lakeside amphitheater. And then we brought students to the Appalachian Fair, where several of them placed in the dance competition (we don't have videos because we were too busy cheering).

We are so proud of all of our dancers for their hard work over the summer, for learning to perform in diverse venues, and especially for dancing with their whole hearts. Congratulations, dancers!

We had a great time learning all about partnered pirouettes and promenades on Saturday! Thanks to all of the folks who came to learn, and thanks to Shellshead Ballet for letting us use their space!

We have several dancers performing at Johnson City's Meet the Mountains festival on Friday! Come find us at the lakeside amphitheater at 5:15 for a selection of pieces in a variety of dance styles, including tap, ballet, and contemporary. The performance is free!

Only a few days until our open house! Which classes are you interested in? 👀

New and returning students, families, and friends are invited to Johnson City Arts Center's open house! Tour the studios, meet instructors, and watch demonstrations of the instruments and dance styles we offer.

JCAC admin will be available to answer any questions and help you register for classes. Our fall semester kicks off Monday, August 3.

Guests will receive a "passport" for the open house; they will receive a stamp in their passports for each activity they do. Fill out the full passport and choose a small prize from our prize bucket! (Best suited for ages 12 and under, but there's no age limit on fun!)

JCAC's summer beginner tap intensive is coming soon!

The Tap Intensive is designed for dancers in level 3-7 (or new students age 10+) who want to try tap dancing for the first time. Join Ms. Bekah for evenings July 28-31 to learn everything you need to know to get started on your tap dance journey!

After taking the intensive, dancers may join Intermediate Tap for the fall term, skipping the beginner level class. Classes are 4:00-6:00 daily. Registration required and can be completed on our website. Tuition is $80.
