Islander Seniors visit MZES
Cheering on Islander seniors - including some former Wildcats!

Some graduating seniors from St. Johns High came to visit our Wildcats. We are inspired by, and proud of, these seniors for all their accomplishments!

Join us for our Parent Resource Fair this Friday from 10 AM - 12 PM.

Next week is our WACKY Week and STEAM Olympics. It's going to be busy and fun! Have a good time planning each day's dress down outfit.
Getting pumped up to knock out state testing:

Students and parents have been making the Wildcat staff feel the love this week! These are just some of the sweet treats delivered to the faculty and staff on Wednesday. Thank you!

Teacher Appreciation Week got off to a great start. We came in to some super sweet messages and had a delicious lunch from Salty Dog Cafe. Thank you to all the parents and students for showing us such love!

Tomorrow, April 20, from 1 PM - 3 PM.

We are hosting a Kindergarten Round-up on Friday, April 29.

As we head into Spring Break, take a minute and consider ordering a Field Day t-shirt. Orders will be due Thursday, April 21.

Grade level, FIELD DAY, T-shirts - You know you want one!

Thank you, Children's Museum of the Lowcountry for visiting our students from CD through 4th grade! (There were so many pictures of our wonderful Wildcats, it took two posts!)

The Children's Museum of the Lowcountry brought their amazing Mobile Tinker van to MZES today. Students from CD through 4th grade enjoyed STEM activities both inside and out. Thank you, CML!! (I took so many photos, it's going to be two posts!)
Tomorrow is the Vocabulary Parade! Dress up as a descriptive word and bring your word and its definition on a piece of paper. Can't wait to see all the amazing costumes!!
Next week is Read Across America Week. On Monday, SALUTE reading by wearing red, white and blue!

Our Head Start students picked a famous African-American to learn about. Then they shared their information by portraying that person in a performance. So very awesome, Little Wildcats!!
Tomorrow is "Twosday!" Dress in two of something you would normally only wear one of. (Two shirts, two hats, two ties, two skirts, etc.)
Video from our Black Violin field trip. It was amazing!

Wildcats in grades 2-5 went on their first out-of-school field trip in 2 years! They saw Black Violin perform an amazing concert. This field trip won't be forgotten soon!

We LOVE Ms. Stephanie and had an amazing time at the Black Violin concert today. Pictures and videos to come!

We had a great time celebrating being 100 days smarter on the 100th Day of School. Here are some of our Wildcats dressed up like they are 100 years old, representing the number 100, and making collections of 100.
Tomorrow is the 100th Day of School!! Dress up like you're 100 years old OR dress to represent the number 100.

We look forward to see you back in person Monday.

The D9 community meeting has been postponed due to inclement weather. We will let you know when it is rescheduled.

Congratulations Casey Sullivan, MZES Teacher of the Year!
We are so lucky to have her as member of Wildcat family.

Holiday Character Day is one of the most fun days of our winter dress down week. Here are a sampling of our Wildcats from yesterday in their fun and creative costumes.

Head Start students had a winter performance for their parents via Zoom. They are entirely too precious!

Friday's Pajama Day was so much fun! Here's a small sampling of the students who dressed "up."
Tomorrow, Tuesday, December 14, is Holiday Character Day. We can't wait to see which holiday characters are your favorites!

Pajama day was a hit! (Pictures to come.) We can't wait to see what everyone is wearing next week when our Holiday Dress Down Week continues! Monday is Winter Wonderland; wear your coziest socks, scarves and mittens.

We love books! What a special treat.
GOOD BOOKS ARE SO IMPORTANT to a child's . That's why we dropped off this "Little Library" of new books to the at Mt. Zion Elementary on last week. We love partnering with Charleston County School District to give our children the very best start on their education.

What a great event tomorrow at Haut Gap Middle School!

For kindergarten and 1st grade library classes we read Pete the Cat's Groovy Imagination and then used our imaginations to create whatever we could using just our art boxes, 4 pieces of construction paper and masking tape. What imaginative Wildcats we have!
