Our Class of 2027 gathered for Senior Sunrise to make memories, spend time with friends, and soak in one of the many “last firsts” of their senior year.

🧬 Biology in Action! 🌱🔬

The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) challenge students to go beyond simply memorizing scientific concepts…they ask students to apply what they know, make connections, and demonstrate their understanding through models and real-world applications.

In Ms. Wheatley’s Biology class, students are doing exactly that! As part of their study of the carbon cycle, photosynthesis, and cellular respiration, students used models to illustrate how carbon moves through different systems and how these important biological processes are interconnected.

Ms. Wheatley does a wonderful job planning engaging, hands-on lessons that bring challenging science concepts to life. Her students aren’t just learning about biology, they’re using their knowledge to explain, model, and make sense of the world around them.
