The PTSA sponsored our Honors Night reception to honorees and their families of more than 350 people preceding the presentation on April 11th. Honors Night is an evening to celebrate the top students in each academic department by grade level (as selected by the teachers), as well as to celebrate other specific academic honorees, including the senior class Valedictorian and Salutatorian; National Merit Scholars; Service Academy appointments; GHP finalists; PTSA scholarship winners; and a few other selected honors related to school-sponsored academic organizations. The event is not to be confused with honor roll recognition or for recognizing honor graduates. The honor roll is celebrated each semester with a treat from the PTSA, and honor graduates are recognized at graduation. The reception was a great success!
