Tin Machine released their debut album on this day in 1989.
The album was produced by Tin Machine & Tim Palmer.
Photography by Masayoshi Sukita.
David Bowie, lead vocals, saxophone and guitar; Reeves Gabrels, guitar and vocals; Tony Fox Sales, bass and vocals; and Hunt Sales on drums and vocals.
Tin Machine was released with three different sleeves over the original three formats: CD, Vinyl & Cassette.
Each cover was a variation of the same Sukita shot, but with the band stood in different positions on each.
Due to format length restrictions, Run and Sacrifice Yourself were not included on the LP version.
The band recorded two studio albums and one live album before dissolving in 1992, after which Bowie returned to his solo career. By the end of 2012, they had sold two million albums. Bowie said Tin Machine helped revitalise his career.
