🎻 Faculty Spotlight | Welcome Violin Instructor Giulliana Scaramazza to W.E. Music! 🎉

We are thrilled to welcome Giulliana Scaramazza to the W.E. Music faculty! Giulliana is a bilingual violinist and dedicated educator with an impressive background in orchestral performance, leadership, and music education.

🌟 About Giulliana

Originally from Venezuela, Giulliana began studying violin at the age of three through the internationally renowned El Sistema program at the José Luis Paz Music Conservatory, under the Conservatorio Simón Bolívar in Caracas.

She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Music Education on a full scholarship at Kennesaw State University and is serving her second year as a Young Artist in Residence with the Johns Creek Symphony.

Since 2021, Giulliana has taught both violin and piano students of various ages and skill levels. She currently serves as a Chamber Coach with the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO), helping young musicians develop ensemble skills, musical confidence, and artistic expression.

🌟 Leadership & Teaching Philosophy

In addition to performing and teaching, Giulliana founded the Violin Chapter at Kennesaw State University and serves as its president. She believes every student can thrive with thoughtful guidance, strong technical foundations, and an encouraging learning environment. Her goal is to inspire confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music in every student.

We are excited to welcome Michael Solomon to the W.E. Music faculty! Michael is a versatile pianist, composer, and educator with a strong background in classical, jazz, and music composition.

🌟 About Michael
Michael earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Composition with a Jazz Minor from the University of Georgia. His diverse musical background allows him to bring together performance, composition, improvisation, and music theory into an engaging learning experience for students of all levels.

🌟 Performance Experience

🏆 1st Place (and 2nd Place) – Edge Piano Competition
🎼 Performed at Steinway Hall in New York City
🚢 Orchestra Pianist aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise, touring the Mediterranean
🎻 Performed with the Augusta Symphony Orchestra
🎹 Active jazz performer throughout the Atlanta area

🌟 Composition & Arranging
Michael has extensive experience in composition and arranging, including:

Arranging the Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto for the UGA Chinese Music Ensemble

Serving as an organist at a local church, accompanying choir, soloists, and congregation each week

Eight hours. Six recitals. One unforgettable day of music.

On May 16, W.E. Music Academy celebrated our 2026 Annual Student Recital, featuring students of all ages — from our youngest 3-year-old performers to adult students who are parents themselves.

Throughout the day, we heard classical guitar, violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, saxophone, ukulele, voice, piano, guzheng, bamboo flute, and more.

From solos and duets to student ensembles, vocal groups, and parent-child performances, the recital showed the many ways music can bring people together.

We are incredibly proud of every student who performed, and grateful to our teachers and families for their support.
